Chapter 38
Just two days more and the seven will again be complete as a unit he thought, as his ship moved through negative matter. By now they’ve seen my message. I would have loved to seen the look on their faces after they saw it. He chuckled if I know the Crowned Prince by the time I get there he would have already devised a grand plan of action. He put his feet on the ship’s console and leaned back with his hands behind his head.
I myself have gone over this information countless times and still find our chances of perfecting this this earth to be excellent. It’s exceptionally rich in natural resources for such a small planet, yet fragile because of them. The humans, he smiled, for the most part are easily swayed. Once they see our capabilities those who aren’t willing to fall in line die-there’s nothing simpler.
I hope the Crowned Prince takes my suggestion on which places and people should be expunged- unfortunately for them we must make an example or we’d end up having to kill them all. And who wants that-certainly not I, he grinned. I want humanity to thrive as I know they can under our rule.
“Captain” said his ship. “Yes, what is it? “he answered. “We can no longer continue in negative matter ”the ship stated. “Why!” he yelled shaking his head. “The ship’s hull is being compromised. Coming out of negative matter now”the A.I. said.“Unbelievable” he said “how can this be fixed?” “We don’t have the materials on board to rectify this problem, Captain. Nor do you have the skills needed to complete the repairs.”
“Why thank you ship, your confidence is reassuring ”he said sarcastically. “No disrespect intended Captain, but I must inform you that this ship’s hull was coated with Brimear, a compound created by…” “Yes, yes I know who created it “ he interrupted.
“Well the brimear is what gave this ship the ability to stay in negative matter as long as we did. Without it we’d still be cycles away from the rendezvous point”stated the A.I. “What are my options?” he asked. She answered “Our one and only option is to continue at our present speed and rendezvous with the six others in 63 hours.”
“I may as well be dead in space” he said aloud, “Fine, continue at current speed but send a transmission to the Barbarous. Tell them it’s best to come and retrieve me otherwise I’m going to be later than previously expected.”
